The ECFSC offers both Developmental and Competitive Synchronized skating.
What is developmental Synchro/Aspire Synchronized Skating:
This course offers skaters in Learn to Skate badges 3 and higher the chance to explore skating with a team and to learn the foundational formations of synchronized skating.(this part is more about the classes and might want to be removed)
There are 4 Aspire levels of synchro. Synchronized skating offers athletes the chance to compete with a team and learn the value of teamwork and camaraderie. Formed in 1956 by Dr. Richard Porter, the sport was known as “precision skating” for the intricate moves skaters perform on the ice together.
The ECFSC also offers competitive synchronized skating through a team called the Golden Edge. For more information on the competitive team, contact Celena Smith Reuter at celena@me.com.
